Strengthening the Laboratory’s Energy Resilience
The State Enterprise “Central Laboratory for Quality Control of Medicines and Medical Products” has received a generator that will ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of the institution, even amid energy-related challenges.
The decision was made during a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control. The equipment obtained is critically important for maintaining the continuity of laboratory quality control processes for medicines and medical devices, directly affecting the quality of research conducted and, consequently, the quality and safety of medicines and medical products, as well as consumer safety.
The State Enterprise “Central Laboratory for Quality Control of Medicines and Medical Products” is the only Ukrainian laboratory that is a full member of the General European Network of Official Medicines Control Laboratories, which it has been part of since 2012. Providing the laboratory with appropriate equipment ensures not only energy independence but also compliance with high international standards of reliability of results.
The laboratory is systematically working to strengthen its resilience and develop its infrastructure in line with European approaches.
Special thanks to the Red Cross for ensuring the full supply cycle of the equipment in the shortest possible time — from sourcing to delivery and installation. Your efficiency and commitment are highly valued.
This step is yet another testament to the fact that the State Enterprise “Central Laboratory” continues to implement innovations and ensure the safety and quality of medicines in Ukraine.

Dear Colleagues and Partners
Pursuant to the Law of Ukraine “On the Peculiarities of Regulation of Activities of Legal Entities of Certain Organizational and Legal Forms During the Transitional Period and Associations of Legal Entities” (entered into force on 28 August 2025), and in accordance with the decision adopted by the governing authority – the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control – as of 2 December 2025, the State Enterprise “Central Laboratory for Quality Control of Medicines and Medical Products” (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory, the Enterprise, or the Company) has commenced a transformation procedure into a Limited Liability Company (LLC). This is a planned measure related to the transitional period.
In accordance with Part 6 of Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations”: “In case of transformation of legal entities, state registration of the termination of the legal entity being terminated as a result of transformation and state registration of the newly established legal entity shall be carried out. The transformation shall be deemed completed from the date of state registration of the newly established legal entity.”
Accordingly, as of 23 February 2026, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations (hereinafter – the Unified State Register) contains, with respect to the Enterprise, the following entry in the section “Information on the Legal Entity Being in the Process of Termination”: “… in the state of termination … Entry of the founder’s decision on termination of the legal entity as a result of reorganization.”
Please be advised that during the transitional period and thereafter, the Enterprise continues to operate in its regular mode, fulfilling its previously assumed and current contractual obligations. The same applies to prospective cooperation – it is planned and will continue in the ordinary course of business. During and after the transitional period, the Enterprise retains its accreditation by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine (NAAU), its current licenses and certifications, its status as an authorized OMCL granted by the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control, as well as its membership in GEON / EDQM.
The entry indicating that the legal entity is in the process of termination does not imply liquidation of the Enterprise but reflects the transformation procedure through reorganization. The change of the organizational and legal form does not entail any change in ownership (which remains state-owned) nor any change in the governing authority (which remains the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control).
